Football, or soccer for those American fans, is notoriously difficult to do right in a video game. It’s not just the fact that there are some crazy physics involved in how the ball moves, but rather that there’s a lot going on at any given time. With twenty-two players on the field at the same time, that’s a lot to render and keep track of. That’s probably why most browser football games simplify the game by quite a bit, either by reducing the number of players or by focusing on other aspects of the game. Most of the games in the Football Games category definitely fall into one of those two categories.
The sequel to the Minecraft game has hit the interwebs. World Craft 2 is now live and we have spent hours with it.
Fans of addictive gameplay and simple yet beautiful interfaces will love Wormax, also known as Wormax.io. This game is modeled after the classic arcade style of gameplay, and it is highly reminiscent of other Snake-based games like Worm and Nibbler. The object of the game is quite simple; players must survive as long as they can while avoiding other players in the game arena, and they must collect ‘food’ littered throughout the map in order to grow larger in size. Obviously, larger worms have a distinct advantage over smaller worms since they have much more surface area that others can collide with.
